In this extraordinary time, nurturing a sense of normalcy is vital in keeping a well mind, body, and spirit. Acknowledging that it is a privilege to be able to safely stay at home should be our grounding. Give Back and Give Yourself a Break from the Excessive Consumption

Society glorifying the hustle and bustle of what the city has to offer can be desensitizing sometimes and makes you vulnerable to mindless consumption and materialism- acquiring things you don’t really need and that don’t really make you happy. During this period, declutter your home and work environment. Recycle as much as possible and assess what could be donated to charity. There are many available organizing hacks online that could definitely help you conquer this feat!

Research about established charities and foundations that you would like to support as well. A lot of them provide bank details for donations so you get to help out without having to leave your home.

Practicing Daily Affirmation and Meditation

Affirmations are not only for manifesting a specific goal. They’re meant to encourage a life filled with positivity and gratitude. A daily 15-minute practice helps to keep the small things in perspective. In this fast-paced world, you can easily lose sight of how large the small things really are and how much you appreciate it. Best to set it in the early morning, where your mind is calm and your surrounding is free of external noise- may it be in your bedroom or in your garden.

Keep the Heart Pumping

Yoga, resistance training, pilates, or whatever that will keep your heart pumping and keep those endorphins producing. Exercise is the best way to temper anxiety and combat lethargy.
