Living in the tropics means experiencing an eternal summer. Apart from the annual typhoons that we experience in the Philippines, it is mostly warm and sunny the whole year round with beach trips, garden parties, and cocktails by the pool as staples. For people living in cold climate countries, this can only sound like paradise.

I personally love spring/ summer. It is turning a new leaf. A rebirth. A natural recoloring of cities, inviting nature to come out and spring forth in praise of the sun.

In our country, this perpetual sun, sand, and sea translate to how people live, think, dine, host, dress, and design. It is in our core as a people. Existing along with harsh realities is the genuine exuberance of every Filipino and the Filipino home.
A touch of tropical is almost always present in every Filipino home. It can be as grandiose as a bed with solihiya details or as subtle as leaf patterns on accent pillows.
It can be as inviting as this vignette too!
