Outdoor Living Collection
In the tropical oasis that is the Philippines, the lanai becomes an integral extension of the Filipino home - be it for entertaining or for lounging around. Thus, Philux welcomes you to explore its first foray into outdoor living.
What wood is used for the Outdoor Living Collection pieces?
Philux offers these pieces in sustainably-sourced European White Oak, which is commonly used for outdoor furniture. These pieces are suited to withstand light to moderate outdoor use, and are recommended to be placed in covered outdoor areas only. Philux also offers outdoor furniture pieces in Teak, which can be placed in either covered or uncovered outdoor areas. Kindly note that these are made-to-order pieces, and may require a longer lead time.
May I select the wood finish for the Outdoor Living Collection pieces?
Philux's sustainably-sourced European White Oak is only available in a natural finish as it is coated in Linseed Oil for extra protection from the elements. As care maintenance, it is recommended that these pieces be recoated in Linseed Oil every 6 months. Kindly note that Philux offers maintenance services at an additional fee.
May I order non-Outdoor Living Collection pieces in White Oak?
Yes, you may. Philux furniture designs that are made of 100% solid wood (such as the Pacific Collection Tables and the Paris Living Set) may be made-to-order in White Oak. However, furniture designs with veneer or metal accents (such as Maxwell Collection pieces) cannot be made in White Oak. Kindly note that made-to-order pieces may require a longer lead time.
May I provide my own fabric for Outdoor Living Collection upholstered pieces?
Yes, you may. Should you wish to provide your own outdoor fabric, we recommend that solution-dyed acrylic fabrics made to withstand fading due to mildew, moisture and heat (such as our UV Pro fabric line) be used.
Should I order outdoor rain covers for my outdoor Living Collection pieces?
Yes, it is highly recommended that outdoor rain covers be used in order to protect the pieces from the elements. Furthermore, it is recommended to avoid exposure of these furniture pieces to extreme elements as they are made of solid wood, a material that weathers naturally over time.
