WOOD
Philux designs are constructed with solid wood and veneers, and composite mixed veneers. Wood is a natural material and minimal variations in color and texture are normal and acceptable. Wood furniture is susceptible to discoloration due to exposure to the elements, particularly direct sunlight and heat. Philux is not liable for any exposure to the elements due to improper placement of furniture post-delivery. Although most furniture pieces are made of solid wood, certain pieces require use of wood veneers. Pieces are constructed with different wood species from varying origins and characteristics such as grain and density for structural purposes. Kiln-dried wood with commercially accepted moisture content is used. Solid wood may warp or crack if subjected to sudden fluctuations in temperature and humidity.
Sustainably-sourced Mahogany, Ash, and Walnut, as well as Oak and Teak for outdoor furniture. Our sustainably-sourced wood options are considered as such by virtue of certification by a non-profit organization that ensures wood derives from responsibly-managed forests around the world.
Our sustainably-sourced Ash and Walnut wood options are more premium wood species that feature harder wood and more defined natural grains vs. locally-sourced Mahogany wood. Philux Ash and Walnut are imported from responsibly-managed forests in Europe.
Ash wood reacts beautifully to Philux customized finishes that, over time, do not turn reddish, unlike when applying the same finishes to Mahogany wood.
As wood is an organic material, some variations in wood grain and wood color are to be expected from piece to piece. Note that wood may change color over time, depending on the condition of its location. Every tree is one of a kind as each grows and matures in its own way, with natural variations and peculiarities that give wood its inherent and unique appeal.
Yes, we have certain pieces such as the Palma series that have outdoor variants in Teak and Oak wood. Kindly note that all Philux furniture designs except those with veneer or metal accents can be made-to-order in Oak or Teak wood. Only pieces made of 100% solid wood may be made-to-order in Oak or Teak wood. Please note these may require longer lead times.
Yes, it is highly recommended that outdoor covers be used in order to protect the pieces from the elements and to maintain the hue and quality of the wood. Note that when using a cover, it is important to air out the furniture occasionally to allow air circulation and prevent moisture from building up underneath the cover.
Oak furniture is suited to withstand light to moderate outdoor use and should be placed in covered outdoor areas only. Teak furniture may be placed in uncovered outdoor areas. Both options are coated in Linseed Oil for extra protection from the elements.
Some options for Wood, such as the Limited wood finishes Aged Black, Ceruse Black, and Ceruse Brown, are special materials that are subject to quotation by our team depending on your chosen design. This means that additional fees will apply on top of the standard price of your Philux piece.
Philux furniture designs are available in a range of material options such as wood, wood finishes, fabrics, metals, mattings, and handles, allowing you to personalize your piece according to your personal preferences and overall space.
Philux furniture pieces are manufactured locally in Metro Manila, the Philippines. Our workshop is located in Bicutan, Parañaque City. When you shop Philux, you are supporting local designers and craftsmen.
Off-the-floor pieces will be delivered in 2 weeks, pre-order pieces in 10 weeks, and made-to-order (MTO) pieces in 13 weeks.
Philux furniture is produced by combining modern technology with hand-guided traditional techniques, so production cannot be rushed. We pride ourselves in working with quality materials and masterful craftsmanship that needs time to create each piece.
We have a fixed transfer schedule for every showroom. Off-the-floor pieces are sent back to our workshop for final inspection and secure packing. Our Logistics team then schedules a delivery date to your home depending on the current operational calendar.
STONE
Honed finishes have no reflection, but a matte finish with a smooth surface. Polished finishes have a reflection.
FABRIC
For client-provided fabric, fabric swatch is required within 7 days from sales order date in order for the Philux team to ensure that fabric is suitable for selected furniture design. Once client-provided fabric is approved, full yardage of fabric is required within 7 days from approval. Philux is not liable for any issues that may arise from fabric quality.
Some options for Fabric, such as the Limited fabrics Baroque Ascot Nata, Scorpio Futura Nougat, Gent Ash, etc., are special materials that are subject to quotation by our team depending on your chosen design. This means that additional fees will apply on top of the standard price of your Philux piece.
Our fabric options have been carefully selected by our Research and Development team to suit specific Philux furniture designs. Should you be interested in a fabric that is not included in the list of recommendations, we will endorse your request to our R&D team to study the feasibility of your request. This is to ensure that all pieces meet our standard of quality, and to prevent any potential issues with the desired material.
CARE
Wood furniture should be dusted with a soft, dry cloth. Abrasives or household cleaners should not be applied to protect the finish. Blot spills immediately and wipe with a clean, damp cloth. Wood is a natural material and any exposure to natural elements such as sunlight, water, and heat may affect the quality and appearance of the piece. Philux is not liable for damage incurred by improper care or maintenance.
Natural stone is inherently porous and thus, is susceptible to scratches, etching, and staining. It can absorb staining agents in spilled liquids, dropped food, and other substances. To protect against potential staining, our stone tops are properly sealed. However, the sealant is not a guarantee that the surface is completely stain-proof. Avoid putting acidic cleaning agents such as bleach and vinegar or acidic foods such as tomatoes and citrus fruit in contact with the stone. Do not use abrasive scrubbing pads on the stone. For extra protection, trivets should be used under hot objects, and coasters should be used under anything containing liquid. In the event of an accident wherein food is dropped or liquid is spilled, remove the food or blot the liquid immediately to avoid stains. Note that wiping a spill could spread the liquid to other areas of the stone surface. The longer a substance is left on the stone, the more likely it is to stain. To clean natural stone tops, a mix of mild soap and warm water can be used. Use a soft wet cloth and dry it with a soft absorbent cloth. Another alternative would be to use Bar Keeper’s Friend Granite & Stone Cleaner & Polish. Apply small quantities on a soft dry cloth or paper towel and slowly rub it onto the affected area in a circular motion. It is recommended that you test either of the cleaning solutions on a small, inconspicuous area of the stone beforehand. Similar to any item cleaned in the home, an excessive concentration of cleaner or soap may leave a film, cause streaks, or affect the sheen of the stone. Follow manufacturer recommendations.

Refrain from applying metal polish on metal surfaces and only use a clean, damp cloth to wipe them. Metal polish can be applied to genuine brass decorative accents such as certain knobs or portions of select dining tables.
Blot spills immediately and wipe with a clean, damp cloth. For washable fabrics, vacuum and clean with mild soap (Perwoll pink is recommended). For delicate fabrics, dry clean is recommended. Cushions can be vacuumed and spot-cleaned. Pillows and inner stuffing should be vacuumed only. For vegan leather, wipe with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid exposing outdoor furniture pieces to extreme elements such as harsh sunlight or torrential rain as they are made of solid wood, an organic material that weathers naturally over time. It is recommended to have your pieces recoated in Linseed Oil every 6 months at an additional fee as an extra layer of protection. Philux outdoor furniture covers are also recommended and available for purchase. Note that when using a cover, it is important to air out the furniture occasionally to allow air circulation and prevent moisture from building up underneath the cover.
Furniture pieces are properly packed using PE foam. Delivery trucks are equipped to adequately protect the product/s during transport. Requests for special packaging (crating, corrugated carton), will incur an additional fee. As part of our sustainability initiatives, we are developing a circular system of carton packaging wherein each high-quality box is reused as many times as possible to minimize waste.
Mattresses come in standard sizes of 39"x78" (Single), 54"x78" (Double), 60"x78" (Queen) and 72"x78" (King) and an approximately one inch allowance is allotted between mattress and bed frame. Philux is not liable for mattresses purchased elsewhere that do not fit based on our standard sizes.
ACCESSORIES
Philux works in collaboration with various local artisans from around the country to source and produce a curated selection of accessories. This is in line with our purpose to create conscious luxury, crafted locally, and to share it with a vast audience. We aim to provide a supportive platform and space for Filipino craftsmanship to shine on a larger scale.
PAYMENT
Full payment is required for all signed sales orders. For orders over TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND PESOS (Php 200,000.00), a minimum 50% down payment is required together with a post-dated check for the remaining 50%, dated 14 days before delivery date and payable to Philux, Inc.
We accept full cash, GCash, debit, credit card, and check payments. Kindly note that for debit and credit card payments, any given discount will be reduced by 5%.
As your furniture piece will be produced especially for you, we require full payment. This is so that you will not be inconvenienced by any delivery delays caused by pending balances. Should your concern be quality, we can assure you that we are an established brand of 45 years and we have a one-year warranty for factory defects.
At present, we do not offer installment as an option for payment, but we are taking note of your feedback as something to work on for the near future.
Once a sales order is signed and payment is received, any request for cancellation, exchange, or refund will not be accepted.
Off-the-floor pieces shall undergo additional quality assurance measures prior to delivery. Off-the-floor as-is pieces, which are subject to a 10% discount, should be thoroughly inspected and shall be accepted as per its condition in the showroom. Requests for refurbishing or repair will incur additional fees.
DELIVERY

Although we cannot make promises or commitments to an earlier delivery date, we can inquire about the production timeline of your order with our team to see if we can accommodate your request. We follow a strict lead time so that each and every piece’s quality is not compromised. We hope for your kind understanding on this matter.

We offer free delivery within Metro Manila (with the exception of ports, shipping lines, trucking and forwarder terminals) which applies to all furniture (orders, off-the-floor, made-to-order). Free delivery does not apply to accessories and consignment items. The Philux delivery crew is not authorized to receive any form of payment. The Philux Sales Account Executive will confirm the delivery schedule days from the agreed-upon target delivery date. The delivery will not proceed without the client's written confirmation. Failed delivery despite client confirmation will incur a fee. Delivery outside Metro Manila will be through a third-party logistics provider and will have a corresponding fee. Philux is not liable for any damages caused by any third-party logistics or client-initiated transportation. All Philux pieces are shipped under ex-works terms, meaning Philux is required to make goods available for the buyer at the warehouse at KM 16-17, East Service Road, Bicutan, Parañaque City, Metro Manila. Once the buyer collects the goods, the buyer assumes all responsibilities including transport to its destination.
We have our own fleet of delivery trucks that operates on a daily schedule within Metro Manila. For deliveries outside Metro Manila, including international deliveries, we work with trusted third-party suppliers and freight forwarders to handle shipping.
For domestic (outside Metro Manila) and international shipping, Philux can handle the packaging of the order and work with trusted freight forwarders to ensure it arrives in excellent condition. Shipping fees vary based on location and quantity.
Delivery crew members are provided face masks and shoe covers. Additional protective equipment or other safety protocol requirements will be on the account of the client.
For shelving, commodes, armoires, and other storage pieces, it is recommended that these be bolted to the walls or floors as an added precautionary measure. Philux is not liable for installation of any furniture.
Philux is not responsible for child proofing of furniture pieces and is not liable for any untoward incidents.
For pieces that are made-to-order, have special packaging, bound outside Metro Manila, and/or involve third-party logistics, the client is required to conduct a final inspection of the order at the factory prior to packaging and scheduling of delivery. Clients may schedule final inspection with their Sales Account Executive within 7 business days from the notification that order is ready. A waiver form must be signed in case the client or an authorized representative is unable to conduct a final inspection.
Client is responsible for evaluating the intended location of furniture and access to the area. Philux is not liable for any difficulty or failure to deliver the products. Delivery locations with corresponding permits or fees must be secured and settled by the client.
Immediate removal of packaging and full inspection by client or representative upon delivery is required. Philux recommends that the person who placed the order handles inspection and receipt upon delivery. If not available, a representative duly authorized can receive the delivery. Signed delivery receipt by client or authorized representative shall be considered "received in good order and condition."
Philux is not liable for any delay/s beyond its control and/or due to any Force Majeure event, which includes but is not limited to, any event which could not be foreseen or which is foreseeable but inevitable, including any act of God or man such as fire, flood, typhoon, earthquake, outbreak, strike or other grave labor problem, riot, war, or a change in law, order, rule or regulation by the government.
Deliveries not accepted by the sales order date will incur a daily storage fee of sixty pesos (Php 60) per cubic meter (based on total volume of order), per day. If order remains undelivered after six (6) weeks, Philux has the right to cancel said order and forfeit any payments made.
Should there be an issue with the item/s, the client can opt to reject the delivery and note down the reason/s for rejection on the delivery receipt. Any return after delivery will be at the client’s expense, with a corresponding pick-up and delivery charge of Php 1,000 to be applied. Philux is not responsible for transportation charges to/from locations outside Metro Manila.
Sales Account Executives are not permitted to carry furniture out of the showroom. Client pick-up is limited to small pieces and is subject to the rules and regulations of the mall or establishment. Larger pieces that require two or more people to carry should be picked up from the factory. Philux is not liable for any damages incurred during pullout / pick-up.
AFTER-SALES
Philux furniture is covered by a one-year warranty for factory defects, otherwise, repairs will be on the client's account. For addresses outside Metro Manila, the client is responsible for transportation of furniture to/from the factory. For consignment items, strictly no refunds, returns or exchanges and warranty.
